About the icons: tasks later in the day start out with black icons. As time passes and the task nodes fill up, they turn white. It’s meant to give a visual sense of progress.
A widget is indeed already available. By tapping the plus button, it opens the app instantly into the add task card.
As for Control Center and Lock Screen widgets, I’ll be adding those by tomorrow based on your suggestion.
