Habit tracking
This is an amazing app
I use it daily
One thing that i picked up is - if i missed to track a habit the day prior
I can’t go back to the day and select that it had been done. I think this would be really helpful for busy busy people who forget to log their habit for one day.

We're really glad to hear the app is having a positive impact and helping you build a strong, consistent streak.
As for the ability to go back and mark a habit as done on a previous day, that's actually an intentional part of the app’s design.
A core principle of habit formation is daily consistency, and logging the habit on the same day reinforces that behavior.
We've found that this approach not only helps build more lasting habits but also reduces the urge to "backfill" habits that weren’t actually completed, which can weaken both accountability and motivation long term.
Marking the habit on the day it's done is a key part of the system. It encourages users to stay consistent, build momentum, avoid breaking their streak, and reduces the temptation to mark habits that weren’t actually completed.
Let us know your thoughts on this.

I totally understand this - it’s just some days get so busy that I forget to track my habits even though I’ve done them
But that’s okay- I can have a mental tracker
Maybe instead of allowing the user to go back and track
If the user misses the day- only if possible- the app asks the question “Did you do this xyz?” With a yes or no
And if yes the app fills in the day prior as tracked
*This is only a suggestion- I 10000% agree if you don’t take to it
I absolutely love the app and it’s changed my life structure significantly

Really like the idea of asking “Did you do this yesterday?” if a habit was missed.
That’s a solid suggestion, Shiv.
I’ll keep that in mind. For now, we’ll keep things as they are until I can think of a way to implement it without encouraging backfilling.
Appreciate the thoughtful feedback Shiv. Truly great.
