    Hi Serenity,

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to write to us with such thoughtful and detailed feedback. It truly shows how dedicated you are to your goals and how much you want PlanUp to support you in achieving them. We genuinely appreciate that.

Wake-up and sleep times feel confusing, and tasks don’t appear without a set time:

This is actually by design. Your day’s timeline begins at the moment you wake up and ends when you go to sleep. Everything in between represents your day.

We found that this approach keeps the interface cleaner than showing all 24 hours. More importantly, it helps users truly see how limited their time is. Instead of feeling like there is plenty of time, this view tends to motivate people to be more intentional and focused with their day.

How to set recurring wake-up and sleep times:

To set recurrence, open the Add Task card and look to the right of the priority button. You will see a three-dot menu. Tapping it opens additional options such as exact-time reminders, subtasks, habit mode, and recurrence.

We actually received your message yesterday and decided to implement improvements before responding. Your suggestions were simply too good not to act on immediately. In the next update, new users will see a popover the first time they open the Add Task card, clearly explaining what the three-dot menu does and encouraging them to explore it. This has already been implemented.

Release a tutorial on how to navigate the app:

Rather than a traditional, full walkthrough tutorial, we are guiding users with contextual popovers throughout the app. This approach offers guidance without interrupting the experience, allowing users to explore and discover PlanUp’s capabilities naturally.

Add graphics for when tasks get completed:

We completely agree with you here. Task completion should feel rewarding. We are actively exploring subtle, satisfying visual feedback to reinforce that positive behavior and motivate users to move on to their next task. You will see this rolled out over the next few updates.

    Free trial request:

PlanUp is a premium app, and we are constantly pushing the bar by implementing features most apps avoid because of their complexity. Unfortunately, free trials tend to be abused by repeated account creation, which significantly impacts our ability to keep building and improving the product. We hope you understand our perspective. We are committed to maintaining quality and momentum without those distractions.

    Earlier wake-up and sleep times:

Thanks to your feedback, we addressed this earlier today. During custom plan setup, we now clearly explain that users are setting a wake-up time window. We show both the start and end times as users scroll, making the experience much clearer and more intuitive.

Serenity, thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback was genuine, insightful, and incredibly helpful. Because of users like you, PlanUp continues to evolve and move closer to becoming the most effective daily planner out there.

    With gratitude,

    The PlanUp Team
